Get Pretty On Demand With Groupon

I’m a creature of habit when it comes to my beauty routines— I keep things pretty simple and low key (at least from my perspective ha); a haircut every few months, a full set of highlights a couple times a year, nothing crazy. I do, however, love to get my nails done ~ every 2-3 weeks (I think of having color on my nails as being like an extra accessory to my outfit!), and I always go to the same little salon close to my apartment. I’ll admit, there are other salons out there that have strived to create a definitely luxe interior; however, the salon I go to does the most perfect manicure, so I feel no need to venture out! My manicures rarely every chip, and I only end up going back in when my nails start to grow too long and the nail polish moves up with it.

I recently discovered that my usual place was available for booking on Groupon’s BeautyNow service. I always use it when I make an appointment (anyone else low key obsessed with being able to do everything on your phone?); it’s just so much more convenient— you can book any time you want, all through the Groupon app (just select “Salon & Spa Booking” at the top to get started!) on your iPhone or Android. It also means you don’t need to deal with paying and tipping when you’re there; you set up your card/PayPal info, select your tipping percentage, and the charge goes through automatically after your appointment.

There are a ton of nail salons, hair salons, spas, blow out bars, places to get your lashes and brows done (really everything), available for booking on the app, and you can get set your location to see what’s closest to you. I’ve booked liked 5 min in advance, just to make sure I wouldn’t have to wait— it’s the best.

I just got my nails done last week; I had had my heart set on black nails for days (black nails are probably my biggest go-to!) and I ended up blindly choosing OPI Lincoln Park After Dark, which is funny, because I’ve been known to pick this shade in the past (a deep purple, so dark it’s black). I just always gravitate to it! I’m also totally loving on my nail shape right now. It’s insane to think I used to be a nail biter when I was younger haha. Seriously, nothing better than a fresh mani. Or finding a salon you love!
