Establishing The Vibes in Life, Spring, Style on 03/03/16This is me ~setting the vibes~ by the way. I mean do I or do I not look v chill and cool just sitting here in these ripped jeans while I take pictures of my legs and fingernails? Hey! Hey there! If I’m being honest, I’m pretty pumped you’re here. Even if you got here by accident, that’s totally cool too. You can read a fun short “look how quirky and funny am I” version of what I’m about to say under the “about me” page. So go there now, or don’t. Not gonna tell you how to live your life. So I’m Meghan, hey again. I’ve been posting pictures of my outfits and my food and other mundane details I come across throughout my life on Instagram for over a year and a half now, and until now, like right this very friggin second, that’s been it. No blogging, no hours spent linking pictures of my clothes to their designers through the glory that is liketoknow.it (I am obviously not important enough to do that). But I have decided to put my soon to be in existence English degree to good use. And do some writing. And talk about what I wear, where I’ve been eating, what I’ve been up to. I’m suddenly very aware of how strange the concept of blogging is- why would strangers care about what I’m doing with myself all day and how many J.Crew excursion vests I own? (4, in case you are now wondering). Well, regardless, to kick this mother off, here’s what happened to me this week: Sunday I grabbed brunch and took some pictures with another Boston based blogger (theluxurybelle.com). We met at the most indie Japanese coffeehouse. Like this place had a wooden bleacher that served as communal seating, that’s right, you would be eating your matcha roll cake and drinking your matcha green tea latte amongst ~strangers~ V trendy. Besides that, this place made the best matcha latte I’ve ever had. Perfect ratio of green tea-ness to creaminess to sweetness. And the latte heart on top was just like ughh killing me. And the vegetarian quiche I had had the most buttery and flaky crust and then had these shrooms and melted cheese and it literally made my heart sing. So basically if you’re ever in Boston, definitely hit up Ogawa Coffee and maybe your heart will sing too. It was the most beautiful day out and we had a ton of fun exploring the city a bit and taking pictures. It was also a marvelous way of procrastinating from the week of midterms I had to study for. Shoes are Sam Edelman, jeans are BlankNYC, sweater is old and from Nordstrom Rack, necklace is Kendra Scott, bag is Kate Spade. In other important news, I finally get to head home to Chicago on Friday for my spring break. Might not be Punta Cana but I get to experience my first St. Patty’s Day in Chicago (like as a person who does not need a fake ID). So I do have that going for me. Hoping to get the hang of this whole ~blogging~ thing then so bear with me while I try and learn how to do neat things like change the font on this little site of mine. I’ve already quickly realized that I’ve got larger problems to worry about than which skull to use for my logo. But I’m optimistic I’ll get there. So that’s what is new! I have a super fun next week planned which includes forcing my boyfriend to go to the Peninsula for afternoon tea with me and seeing my high school’s production of Legally Blonde, and in a few weeks I will be in San Diego eating lots of food and probably forcing my sister to take a lot of pictures of me! (What’s with me and forcing people to do things?) So if any of that sounds up your alley be sure to pop back in once in a while! This was fun, bye! xo, Meghan
